Mother's Day - My Mom

Today is Mother's Day and I am missing my mom! I am thankful for a godly mother who prays for all her kids and grandkids and is selfless and loving. She is the glue of our family and is precious, amazing and wonderful.

Mother's Day - Me

This morning I woke up to a ham & cheese omelet, the all-essential cup of coffee and homemade cards from the kids. Warren always stresses about getting me the 'right gift' but I told him he was off the hook because its not about me getting a gift from him, but having precious moments and heartfelt cards made by my kids.

The flowers on Cullen's 'arrangement' read:

My Mom loves me best when: i dro her pichrs (I draw her pictures)

A special thing I will do for my Mom is: clen (clean) up for her

Jordan is into Diary of a Wimpy Kid so both he and I look like characters from the book.

After church we went to Texas Roadhouse for lunch - a great place for steak and ribs! Warren's 'gift' to me was to cut the grass and clean up the backyard which I really appreciated - it was getting so bad I thought I saw Dr. Livingstone stroll by our window last week. While he was working hard in the yard, I took a 2 hour nap and then we went for a stroll along the highline canal where Cullen continued to spoil me with weeds, tree blossoms and finally a tulip.

Cold Stone Creamery at Aspen Grove was giving each mom a free ice cream so we went there and finished off our afternoon with ice cream.

Jordan declared that Mother's Day is far too short and should be extended and I second that motion! Next year it should be Mother's Week instead of Mother's Day.
