Mad Cap Again!

Tonight was a Comedy Night for us...in more ways than one.

I bought tickets a few months ago for the Mad Cap Theater (our favorite comedy club) but couldn't use them during December when the Radomskys were with us (due to blackout dates), so we had to wait until the new year to go. Aw shucks! Another trip to Mad Cap.

Comedy Night = Lots of Laughs
I guess Comedy Night also = Goofy Husband!

What or Who did I marry?

The middle guy bares a stark resemblance to my husband and that's scary!

My youngest son thought his father's brain has turned to mush and resorted to trying to remove it with a straw.

My oldest son was too cool to goof around so he posed with his hat and his Justin Bieber hair.

It is safe to say that I was the only one who was composed and mature at the table!

Back to Mad Cap: The group of actors this evening was excellent. They had great chemistry which left us howling with laughter.

The co-owner Brian (behind Cullen) is our favorite actor & I now call ahead to make sure he's scheduled to be on stage the night we plan to go. Brian is hilarious and he didn't let us done tonight.

We'll be back for sure!!

Wet Snow

I love it when it snows.
I love it more when I am inside and warm when it does.

The great thing about Colorado is it snows one day and the next day the sun comes out and the place looks like a winter wonderland.

The snow actually sparkles like it has tiny diamonds in it. Its so pretty.

I love how the snow sit on the branches, weighing them down, causing them to sag.

I love how I have to wear sunglasses outside after it has snowed because its so bright.
I love the snow...but only if I'm warm!

A Brief Return to Insanity

The boys went to see a 'boy movie' and left me alone in the house to watch my 'chick flick'. It is what I need from time to time.

As soon as I heard the garage door close and the car drive down the road, I ran to the boys' bedrooms because I knew they still had some South African sweets/candy left over from Christmas.

I went through their stash to see what I could borrow (OK, steal!) and with good intention - prevent them from becoming addicted to sweets/candy which they can't replenish once the original stash is gone.

After all, I spent YEARS weaning myself off Bar Ones, Smarties, Jelly Tots, Black-currant Fruit Pastels, and Cadbury's Whispers which left me weepy, depressed, frustrated and sometimes in a fetal position on the cold tiled bathroom floor.

I don't want my boys to suffer the way I did.

So I got my stolen stash, flavored-coffee and movie ready and then realized I was about to jump back into the pit I'd spent years climbing out of.

The moment of insanity passed and I returned my kids' candy stash to their bedrooms. I repented of my sin of stealing, wiped my tears and eventually got up off the cold bathroom floor.

I made my favorite Chai tea, grabbed my HEALTHY chocolate and made my way to the basement.

A brief flash of insanity helped me get things into perspective and my kids' stash is safe (for now).
