Hershey Navels

Every winter break we have to make or bake something that is Christmasy. Usually it involves candy or chocolate. I renamed this treat Hershey Navels because when they are finished, they look just like brightly colored belly buttons.

They are so simple to make.

You need 3 ingredients:

~ Hershey Kisses

~ M&Ms (preferably in Christmasy colors)

~ Waffle Pretzels

The pretzels are placed on the baking trays ready for the Kisses.

The kids get to peel the paper off the Kisses and place them on top of the pretzels.

The kids get to eat the pretzels.

The oven is set at 225F and the Kisses go into the oven for about 10 minutes or until they start to sweat under the heat.

As soon as they are squishy and sweaty, the pretzel Hersheys need to be removed from the oven. The M&Ms need to be pushed gently onto the squishy Kisses and 'ta-da' you have Hershey Navels.

ADVICE: allow to cool before scoffing!

Getting Along

Moments of 'getting along' and friendship can be rare depending on the week or time of day. Jordan is the one who generally dictates how the friendship goes for the day. Cullen will be friends forever and will bleed for his brother. Jordan doesn't always share the sentiment.

Today was a good day for my boys.

And I had to capture the moment so I can prove to Jordan later on in life that he is able to be kind and sweet to his brother even though he's convinced at times that he cannot! See Jordan, it can be done!
