Every October the kids' school has a Fall Festival. Its a fund- raising event for the school and the PTCO organizes everything from the volunteers to the food. The school kids and neighborhood kids come out each year to enjoy the fun.
The favorite thing to do is to dunk the principal in the dunk tank. Cullen and Jordan both tried twice to get the principal into the water but it never happened. Cullen was so disappointed.
The kids decided to have their hair sprayed and afterwards Jordan kept asking me "Mom, is my hair color still there?" Most of the classrooms had games so the kids enjoyed many of them.
They had their share of hot dogs and cotton candy (candy floss) and came home with plenty of candy and cheap prizes which are now sitting on my kitchen counter begging to be thrown away.
Jordan won a goldfish which he has to collect from a pet store. He decided to donate the fish to his 2nd grade class and name the fish after his teacher - James. I am secretly relieved he's doing this. We've had tropical fish in the past and I personally think they are a waste of money. I am waiting for our last tropical fish to go belly up so I can get rid of the fish tank - the thought of starting over with goldfish (because Cullen will want one too) is not appealing. So James will be relocated to the 2nd grade class as soon as possible!
