We had great excitement tonight because Jordan's 2nd top tooth came out. Its been kind of wiggly for about a year but very wiggly for a week. He's been working at getting it looser every day this past week.
It gives me the heebie jeebies whenever Jordan pushes his tongue against a tooth to make it horizontal to his gums but I kept encouraging him to do it tonight because the more he did it, the looser it got. He tried a couple of times to yank it out but each time he stopped because he said that it hurt. But he finally did it and out it came.
Jordan asked me the other day if the Tooth Fairy really exists and asked me to tell him the truth, so I did. He was disappointed when he realized that I was the one putting the money under his pillow but has accepted it. (He also asked me if Santa is real and to tell him the truth and my answer is always "well, I believe in him because he fills my stocking every year and I certainly don't do it" and he accepted that).
So even though Jordan knows that I am really Timney the Tooth Fairy, he's put his toilet paper wrapped tooth under his pillow knowing that he'll get some money in the morning.
For Cullen's sake he is pretending that Timney really exists.
My favorite thing for Jordan to say now that he's missing the 2 top teeth is a line from a poem: "Freedom isn't free" because it sounds like he's saying "Fweedom isn't fwee" and I love it.
