Bill Swets used to be a farmer but is now a zookeeper of sorts. The animals were built by Bill from old machinery, car parts and scrap metal. It started out as a hobby and he began putting his sculptures out in his yard which caused people to stop their cars to get a better look. Now with over 160 sculptures in his backyard, Swetsville Zoo is a fun place for visitors and its free.
It took us over an hour to drive to Fort Collins which is where Swetsville Zoo is located and once we were there, the boys had so much fun running from sculpture to sculpture.
