Today our marriage turned 18. We went out 2 nights ago to celebrate since that was the only time we could get a babysitter. 
We first stopped off at Starbucks to get some coffee and to kill an hour before the movie started. We went to see Knight & Day (Cameron Diaz & Tom Cruise) and although they are my least favorite actors, the movie was funny and pretty good.
After the movie we went to The Cheesecake Factory at Park Meadows Mall for dinner. As always the food was excellent and in huge quantities so we brought home half of it in take-out boxes. Our cheesecake dessert was their new key lime with mango puree topping and it was excellent.
On the way out of the restaurant I noticed some pink 'things' sitting at the host counter and asked the hostess about them. They are doll chairs (like baby high chairs) that clip onto the table and were made for American Girl dolls. There is an American Girl doll store just a stone's throw away from The Cheesecake Factory. American Girl dolls are meant to look like their owner and the little girl can have the same outfit as the doll, same accessories, etc. and its a big money-making company. Some of the dolls cost $500 with clothing and accessories (from hair ribbons to wheelchairs). The hostess said they had to buy the doll chairs so that when the little girls came into the restaurant, they could have their dolls sit in the chair. The hostess said the restaurant across the way (White Chocolate Grille) also has the doll chairs, but they have a separate menu for the dolls AND the server HAS TO speak to the doll as if its a customer. Now...am I crazy...or have they gone just a little too far???!!! What is this world coming to?
