Zulu has a new toy and its called the Wobbler. Most mornings, when I know I'm going to be out and about after dropping the boys at school, I get the Wobbler ready.
These are the begging eyes of a dog that knows she's going to get her Wobbler.
The treat bags come out and she gets excited because she can smell them even though they're high up on the countertop.
This is the Wobbler and thanks to Warren, it was FREE from Kong.
The Wobbler's base is filled with sand much like those punch bag toys that bounce back at you after punching them. The idea is that the Wobbler will roll & bounce back up to its original position while spewing treats...and it works well.
The bottom (filled with sand) unscrews from the top. Note the hole in the top part - I'm sure you can guess what that is for.
The treats are cut up into smaller 'bite sizes'.
The treats are placed into the bottom 'dish' of the Wobbler.
Before Zulu is given her treat, she has to shake on it and sometimes I make her do both paws just for fun.
By now the dog has been jumping and whimpering to get to her treat and once the Wobbler is on the ground, all hell breaks loose.
She pushes and shoves that thing around. The treats fall out of the hole and she scoffs them. What I originally thought would last a good 20 minutes takes her under 2 minutes to accomplish.
This is a picture of a dog who has no more treats in her Wobbler and has already begged for more but has been given the answer 'no'.
