The weather this week has been lovely and today I couldn't bring myself to drive straight home after fetching the kids from school (I needed to go home and nap) because I knew they'd head straight to the basement and watch TV.
I love our library not only because I love books but because its a quiet place for me to lose myself in. The kids love the library because of the books and DVDs but they also love the park which is right behind the library. So today after fetching the boys, we headed to McD's for ice cream (I resisted - what a miracle) and stopped off at the park.
The sky clouded over and it was overcast for most of the afternoon which was really nice because it had been hot during the day. The kids spun, climbed and explored until the wind turned chilly and we headed on home.
Sometimes I wish I could get into a kids' body, complete with tons of energy and agility, no inhibitions, and play hard like my kids do.
