On the first Friday of each month the art galleries down Sante Fe Drive in Denver (the art district) open their doors until late at night allowing art enthusiasts to enjoy a full spectrum of paintings, sculptures and sketches.

We met up with our friends Jane and Steven (we call them our Mormon Friends) at 7 pm and we all snaked in and out of the galleries with many others who had the same idea. It was packed and it was hot and as a result, it wasn't the best time of evening to start the walk but we enjoyed it nevertheless. I tried to take photos but with the overcrowding, I didn't get many.
The boys got tired quite quickly and complained about the heat which was bad at times. At one point I found a sofa for them to sit on and realized that the wall they were facing was filled with sketches of nude women! I chose to ignore the sketches hoping the kids wouldn't notice them (I think they did though!)

Cullen loved the sculptures

And especially this sculpture that is called "Conversations with Myself."

I think he's having a conversation with himself here!
We saw a few 'characters' along the walk including a lady in a Minny Mouse skirt with very big pigtails, a guy with a veil on his head and bikers showing off their many tattoos (which were cool).

And finally, a couple who must have had the day off from the Renaissance Festival and were still in costume. Her back has more cleavage than my front does!!

At 9 pm we went to Denver's oldest diner and had a bite to eat. We ended up laughing so much at Steven (stand-up comic/artist/interior designer).
