The High Line Canal trail is a great place for walking the dog, biking, running and even horse-riding. We unfortunately don't have a horse and running is not my favorite thing to do right now so the boys and I decided to bike. My bike hadn't been used in 2-3 years and was hanging from the ceiling of our garage so Warren got it down for me, pumped up the tires and helped me load it into the back of the mini-van along with the boys' bikes. I packed some snacks and water and we set off to the church which is right next to the trail. Parts of the trail cross over busy roads and the part that starts at the church is straight and has a couple of parks along the way.
It was sunny and hot and wonderful. The boys found a huge bush at the 2nd park and played around in it for ages, making up fort games, hiding from some girls who were there and they had a great time.
