The side of our house has always been a bit of a mess. It was OK to live with before we got Zulu and then she started digging up the dirt and bringing it into the house which became the bane of my life! Then when our friends surprised us last October by putting the new deck together while we were on vacation, the wood, nails and mess that was left behind lay there for 8 months before we did anything about it.
This past weekend Warren and I sorted out the yard by weeding, trimming back every bush but also cleaned up the area next to the boardwalk. Warren had cut most of the left over old deck wood into firewood for camping and had stored it under the deck but the stones needed to be tidied and the back part in general needed to be tidied as well.
So the boardwalk is finally finished and Warren did such a great job getting it done. I can finally look at that area of the backyard and not hate it like I did before. Life is better.
(Just need a bit of grass to patch the bald spot)
