Cheryl flew to Denver after spending Christmas Eve and morning with her kids in the UK. She walked through our door before midnight on Christmas Day, and although we were all tired, we sat and chatted until the early hours of the morning. As per Murphy's Law, the boys woke us up earlier than we hoped because they knew that Aunty Cheryl was in the house and so we all got up, made lattes and started our 2nd Christmas Day with Cheryl.
After opening presents, I put the food into the oven and we sat around, chatted, drank coffee, ate croissants and fruit while the kids played with their new toys. We caught up and drank more coffee while waiting for dinner which was ready around 5 pm. We had turkey and ham with all the trimmings (except brussel sprouts!) with plenty of leftovers for the next week.
By the end of the meal we were so stuffed...so much so that I still have the berry pie dessert (made from scratch) in my freezer.
After dinner we bundled up and went into downtown Littleton which is always lit up so well during Christmas.
We ended our evening at Starbucks with hot drinks - a perfect end to Boxing Day...our 2nd Christmas Day.
