Jordan has crossed over from 'boy' to 'preteen'. Although he hasn't quite hit the puberty part yet (unless celery-smelling body odor counts), he's definitely starting to become more aware of who he is, what he likes, his choice of clothing, how he likes to conduct himself and who he'd like to become.
Enter Justin Bieber.
He's the latest five-hit Canadian wonder who is on the music scene and although he's only 11 years old (OK, he's 16) he's a big hit. He was discovered on youtube by someone and is now a millionaire with his soppy teenage songs, his personalized headphones (no doubt designed by a clever person who saw an opportunity and took it) and his book: a biography.
Biography?? Isn't that for someone who has actually lived a life and has something to say about it? Justin has just gone through puberty and he has a biography?

This year, Jordan has loved 'dressing down', wearing sweatpants, Nike or Under Armor sports shirts. Until recently, he has loathed wearing pants or jeans and dress shirts.
One day at school, because of his hair, he was called "Jordan Bieber" and that is what launched Jordan into "Justin Bieber World", never to return (well, at least for a while).
Jordan expresses himself and learns through art and so I wasn't surprised when he took a picture of Justin Bieber and drew it. 
He took his time and drew it over a few days, careful to get everything as accurate as possible. He battled with drawing the face so he had a brilliant idea...he got me to print off a copy of Jusin's face which I had to 1st photoshop to remove the color. He glued the picture of Justin's face onto his picture and blended the colors so that it looked as though he'd drawn it freehand.
The result is now on his wall along with other posters of Justin Bieber. His room has changed from a boy's room to a preteen's room and I'm getting scared!
